
🥔 Spanish Tortilla
(Potato Omelette)

⭐ Ingredients:
- 4 medium potatoes (peeled and thinly sliced)
- 5–6 large eggs
- 1 onion (optional)
- Olive oil (for frying)
- Salt (to taste)
Instructions
Follow these simple steps to prepare an authentic Spanish tortilla at home:
- Slice & Fry the Potatoes
Heat plenty of olive oil in a frying pan. Add the sliced potatoes (and onions if using) and cook over medium heat until soft but not crispy. - Drain & Mix with Eggs
Remove the potatoes and drain the excess oil. In a bowl, beat the eggs with a bit of salt, then gently mix in the cooked potatoes. - Cook the Tortilla
Add a little oil to a smaller non-stick pan. Pour in the egg-potato mix and cook on medium-low heat for 5–6 minutes, until the bottom sets. Flip the tortilla using a plate, then cook the other side for 4–5 more minutes. - Let It Rest & Serve
Allow the tortilla to rest for a few minutes. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
